Cathode Ghosts is the project of Simon Young, based in Warwick, UK.
Simon has been making music since the beginning of the 1980s, firstly with a friend, but working on his own since the turn of the century.
Originally from Southam in Warwickshire, the pair created music on a range of hardware synthesisers, drum machines and multi-track recorders during the 1980s.
A lot of music was created, but back then there were limited means of getting your music out there. However, they did appear a couple of times in the publication, Electronics & Music Maker.
Since 2000 the majority of Simon’s productions have been created using a DAW and software synthesisers, supplemented by hardware, new and old. Simon still uses the HR-16 drum machine purchased back in 1988.
