When going through a personal crisis, such as a relationship break-up, it is easy to look for clues, for patterns as to what went wrong. What could I have done to change outcomes?

I think things just happen. There’s no rhyme or reason, there’s no point looking for patterns. Things happen.

Tracks inspired by the two beautiful cathedrals in the city of Coventry. One, built in the late 14th and early 15th centuries was destroyed in the Coventry Blitz, on 14th November 1940.

As I get older I find I think about the people I’ve met over the years, the places I’ve been, the mistakes I’ve made. Most people have regrets and I have a mountain of them.

Some of these latest batch of tracks were recorded about specific people and specific events, some going back 30 years or more.

I’ve always been reflective about the past, but recently, I have found I’ve been slipping into the past more than is probably healthy.
